Karim Benzema visits Makkah after Saudi transfer

Al Ittihad’s star striker Karim Benzema is making the most of his transfer to Saudi Arabia as he visited Makkah to perform Umrah. The Ballon d’Or winner, who transferred to Al Ittihad from Real Madrid earlier this year, posted a video of his visit to the holy city.

Benzema, seen wearing an ihram (white robe), recorded the video while performing Tawaf (circuits of the Kaaba).

“Mashallah, the best of the best. Alhamdulillah [praise be to God],” Benzema said in the video with the holy Kaaba in the background. Along with his video, Benzema wrote ‘L’Unique Vérité’ in French which translates to “the only truth.” Benzema previously performed the Umrah in 2016.

Saudi Pro League player Sadio Mane had performed the Umrah a week earlier. The Al Nassr player visited Makkah hours after his debut for the Saudi Pro League club on August 3.
